A Genius Finds Inspiration in the Music of Another – New York Times
Personally, I like the at-times playful, at-times mesmerizing compositions of Fredrick Chopin more. But they are both favourites.

Was browsing the Alliance Francaise website today, and stumbled into the Louvre. Guided virtual tours are available. Intriguing. Read through the introduction to “Consecration of Napoleon”. Nice painting (I mean, ok types) and I am always fascinated by the story of Napoleon and Josephine.
Tried to play the tune of Castles in the Air on my keyboard (I can’t get it out of my head, ever since I heard it). It was great playing the keyboard after so long. Surprisingly, caught the scale immediately (E major). Need to find the right chords now. Hey, just found out, there are multiple meanings for both cord and chord. Check them out.
Came across 30 Boxes. Nice concept and well executed! Time somebody made an open-API calendaring application. And these guys don’t seem like the fly-by-night operators. I just hope it is bought-over by Giggley-Goo before M$ lays its paws on it.
And last, but not the least, checkout The Making of Narnia. Am gonna try to attend it.
Castles In The Air – Don McLean
I am running out of superlatives! Just hear the song if you get to. The tune is fabulous; a lilting romantic song (though the singer is bidding goodbye)!
How loud this rings true, in this fast paced world of insta-love and insta-money! Young twenty-somethings chasing fancy dreams, though not of their own; people going places, from one peak to another, longing for the place they left behind. Romance is what comes in sachets, along with your order in CCD. Or perhaps its on the menu too; never looked closely enough…
Reflects my current mood. Sometimes, I wish I could get away from all the buzz, far from the madding crowd.
Came across this after listening to Doc Mclean’s version, which btw, is sung beautifully.
Hmm.. btw, that’s a favourite book of mine; Far from the madding crowd, by Thomas Hardy; not so much for the story as for the descriptions of country-life. Though many think that it is rather slow; Hardy takes about two pages to describe a blade of grass!
