.cold shower.
Taking a cold water bath is one of the simple joys of life. Moreover, it is benefical for health; I haven't had any of those minor infections since the time I went "cold turkey". (Yes, I have had fever twice, but both the times it was traceable to some food-related infection.) And switching off your geyser saves electricity (->conservation of natural resources-> no global warming, blah blah). So when one of my friends came home and turned on the geyser (he will remain nameless, but you know who you are
, I wondered why people prefer hot water baths in the middle of summer! Even in winter, I am happy with luke warm water.
.netiquette.
I have seen far too many people on the web, who don't follow simple netiquettes, like replying to your emails (for starters), or being polite in conversations. Hence, I was pleasantly surprised when I found this twenty-year old lass, online, who was extremely polite in her replies. Many people even ridiculed her on the forums, and she had smart, witty and polite retorts for all of them. Moreover, she is a graphic designer and game nerd, and that combined with the fact that she is female and has this straight faced persona is a heady combination.
I scribbled a line to her, and it has snowballed into a huge multi-page conversation!
There is only one other person who matches that feat. He is a very good friend whom I know from my school days. His emails average about 3 screenfuls in length. AND he uses color and varying fonts and all that zing-bing-lings. The content is well thought out; sometimes even well researched and filled with URL's where needed!
.who wins?.
This is a quick note triggered by many thoughts, readings and real-life experiences. 80% of people are just parasites, and they are the happy lot. 15% are hard-workers, and they somehow get along in life. 4% are clueless, and they don't/can't care about what's happening to them. 1% are the the intelligent, hard workers, and the most unhappy of the lot.
